Murmuring, the
third in the Biosensor Projects, is an interactive
installation in which text and audio are triggered with each beat of
the subjects heart. Upon entering the visitor to the installation sits at a table and lays their hands on sensors that read their pulse. The system, programmed in Max/Jitter/MSP triggers a word from a data base of adverbs connoting human volition (actions, feelings, and thoughts) and an audio file from a data base of recorded long tones of womens voices.
